Next stop; Wally’s Liquor, Castle Arcade

Wally’s Liquor Cellar, is one of 3 stores under the Wally’s family umbrella, originally founded in 1947 and known as Wally’s Delicatessen, in the Royal Arcade. The liquor emporium houses the huge array of beers, wines and spirits that were for many years in the Delicatessen, but the range became so abundant that it needed its own store; hence the birth of the Liquor Cellar in 2017.

Ellis was given a fine introduction to his favourite tipples at the Castle Arcade branch – and purchased an old favourite Espresso Martini mix.

 

 

 

 

Final stop; A Welsh Secret, St David’s Centre

A Welsh Secret, is the first permanent shop dedicated to Welsh food and drink, after a gap in the market was spotted for small independent businesses to showcase their Welsh produce.

A Welsh Secret sells products varying from Perthyn Gin and FabFour coffee, founded by rugby stars Lee Byrne, Shane Williams, Mike Phillips and James Hook, to homemade chutney and chocolate.

Ellis was taken through the wide range of products and very impressed by the range of offering.
