Wales women to tour the country for World Cup qualifying campaign

Wales women will play their home World Cup qualifiers in Llanelli, Wrexham and Cardiff this year as they bid to reach the 2027 tournament.
Rhian Wilkinson’s Wales side welcomes Montenegro to Parc Y Scarlets in Llanelli on Saturday March 7th, before heading north to Wrexham to face Albania on the 14th of April.
They will end the group stages of their qualifying campaign in Cardiff against Czechia on June 9th.
Wales played in Llanelli in July 2024, when they beat Kosovo 2-0 in a UEFA Women’s EURO 2025 qualifier, with Jess Fishlock breaking the Cymru goal scoring record in front of more than 4,000 fans.
The team also have recent history of playing at Cae Ras in Wrexham, with Wales earning perhaps their best result of 2025 in a 1-1 draw with Sweden.
That game saw a record crowd for a Wales women’s game hosted outside of Cardiff, with more than 6000 at the match.
Wales are in League B of qualifying – the same level that they found themselves in for the 2025 Euros – with the top three places in the qualifying group will secure a place in the play-offs which take place in the second half of 2026.
Rhian Wilkinson’s side will be bidding to appear at a second major tournament and first World Cup in their history.
