Wales Netball have confirmed their squad selected to represent Team Wales at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games next month.

The squad will travel to Glasgow for the XXIII Commonwealth Games, taking place from 23 July to 2 August 2026, with the netball competition being staged at The Hydro from 25 July to 2 August.

The squad includes experienced internationals such as Bethan Dyke, who brings significant Commonwealth Games experience, and Georgia Rowe, a proven shooting presence with a strong record across domestic and international competition.

They are joined by athletes who have progressed through Wales Netball’s performance and age-group environments, representing the next generation of Welsh netball talent and the continued development of the national pathway.

“This is an incredibly exciting moment for everyone involved in Wales Netball,” Emily Handyside, Team Wales Netball Head Coach, said.

“Every athlete selected has earned their place, and we know what this moment will mean to them, their families, clubs and communities.

“The group reflects the dedication, resilience and talent we have within our programme. We have a squad that blends experience with youth, and we are looking forward to seeing them represent Wales on one of the biggest stages in sport.”

At Glasgow 2026, Wales will compete in Pool B alongside New Zealand, Jamaica, Uganda, Scotland and Trinidad & Tobago, with pool matches taking place from 25 to 30 July before classification and medal matches conclude the competition.

“Being selected to represent Team Wales at a Commonwealth Games is one of the greatest honours in our sport, and I would like to congratulate every athlete named in this squad,” Sarah Boswell, Chief Executive of Wales Netball, added.

“This group reflects the talent, resilience and ambition of Welsh netball today. Each player has earned this opportunity through their commitment, hard work and determination, and we are incredibly proud of what they have achieved.

“As they prepare to wear the red dress in Glasgow, I know they will represent Wales with passion, pride and professionalism.

“They carry with them not only the hopes of our netball community, but the support of their families, friends, coaches and everyone who has helped them reach this moment.

“We wish them every success as they take to the court on the Commonwealth Games stage.”
