Glamorgan all-rounder Zain Ul Hassan has signed a contract extension at the club until the end of the 2027 season.

ul-Hassan joined the Welsh county in 2023, having graduated from the South Asian Cricket Academy (SACA), and has become a key cog in the team that won promotion to Division One of the County Championship last season.

The 25-year-old all-rounder features in every match of that successful 2025 first-class season, and has played an important of Glamorgan’s good start to their return to the top of English red-ball cricket.

ul-Hassan has enjoyed a fruitful start to the 2026 campaign, highlighted by a superb century at the Utilita Bowl in Southampton against Hampshire which saw Glamorgan win their first Division One match for over 20 years.

“I’m very grateful to extend my contract,” ul-Hassan said.

“I’ve loved my time in Cardiff and being part of such a great group of players and coaches. We’re playing some really good cricket across all formats, and I’m proud to be contributing to that.

“Hopefully I can play my part in even more success for Glamorgan.”
