Uganda She Cranes beat the Welsh Feathers in 2025 Celtic Cup

Uganda’s She Cranes completed an unbeaten run to lift the 2025 Celtic Cup title in Glasgow, defeating the 2024 champions, the Welsh Feathers, 70–48 on the final day of the five-day tournament.
The She Cranes had already overcome Namibia, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Zimbabwe, and their composed victory over Wales underlined their dominance throughout the competition.
Scotland also impressed on home soil, registering wins against Wales, Namibia and Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland, meanwhile, endured a tough campaign, finishing winless after losses to Uganda, Scotland and Namibia.
The hosts came closest to halting Uganda’s charge, pushing the eventual champions all the way in a narrow 53–51 contest on day three. Wales claimed two victories of their own, overcoming Zimbabwe and Northern Ireland earlier in the week.
Uganda entered the finale ranked just one place below sixth-placed Wales, but sealed the title in style before Scotland wrapped up the event with a 54–45 win over Zimbabwe in the final match at the Emirates Arena.
