Swansea City are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to sign New Zealand international winger Elijah Just from Motherwell.

The 26-year-old was a key figure for the All Whites at this summer’s World Cup, featuring in all three of their group games and finding the net three times.

Securing his signature won’t come cheap for the Championship club – Swansea are said to be prepared to smash Motherwell’s record fee received in order to get the deal over the line, fending off reported interest from Celtic in the process.

Just arrived at Fir Park in 2025 after spending the bulk of his career playing club football in Denmark.

He went on to make 43 appearances for Motherwell, scoring seven times and earning a nomination for Premiership player of the year along the way.

Should the move to south Wales go through, Just would link up with fellow New Zealand international Marko Stamenic in the Swansea ranks.

He’d also be reunited with Stephen Welsh, who joined the Swans this summer having spent last season on loan at Motherwell from Celtic.
