Congratulations to the Sportin Wales Team of the Month for May: Cowbridge Junior Hockey Club!

Cowbridge Hockey Club is a thriving hockey club based in the rural town of Cowbridge, Vale of Glamorgan. They field highly competitive teams at all youth levels, this includes U8s and U10s mixed teams, U12s and U14s boys and girls teams, U16s girls and a senior team.

What started out as a youth only club quickly developed a senior team 5 years ago. This team started the South Wales league in Division 5. After winning back to back League titles in 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons Cowbridge 1st Team are now in South Wales Division 3.

In the 2025/26 season the U16 girls team won the South Wales Youth Hockey Association plate competition, this is the third time winning this competition.

The club was set up in 2014 by a Hockey Wales agent as a fun hockey session, what started off as a very small group playing indoor hockey for fun has come a long way since the Chairman Graeme Jones took over the reins 10 years ago.

The club are proud to be a community focused club whose young members are at the heart of everything they do.
