Lauren Price MBE, Olympic gold medallist and unified world boxing champion, has announced that she and her fiancée Carlie Jones will marry at the breathtaking Sant Ffraed House in Abergavenny in 2026.

The couple’s choice of venue is no coincidence, Sant Ffraed House, owned and operated by the award-winning Oldwalls Collection, has become one of Wales’ most sought-after exclusive wedding destinations, renowned for its spectacular setting, meticulous service, and incredible celebrations.

A favourite among Welsh sporting icons including Jessica Fishlock MBE, Josh Navidi and Liam Williams, it blends contemporary luxury with historic charm against the stunning backdrop of the Monmouthshire countryside.

“As two women planning our wedding, we’re proud to work with a venue that really celebrates every kind of love story,” said Price.

“The Sant Ffraed House team’s attention to detail has made this experience unforgettable already. From the moment we arrived, we felt seen, celebrated, and supported. It’s everything we dreamed of and more.”

Widely recognised as one of Wales’ leading LGBTQ+ public figures, Price continues to use her platform to champion equality, representation and visibility.

She was recently named #1 LGBTQ+ influencer in Wales on the Western Mail & Echo’s Pinc List 2025 and says the venue’s inclusivity was a major part of their decision.

“It’s really special to us that our wedding will take place somewhere that embraces diversity so wholeheartedly,” added Carlie.

“The team’s attention to detail have made this chapter of our journey feel magical from the start.”

As they look ahead to their 2026 wedding, Lauren and Carlie say they’re excited not just about the day itself, but also about celebrating their love in a place that feels totally connected to Wales and their roots.

“My career means I spend so much of my time away from home, so having this once-in-a-lifetime celebration rooted in Wales, surrounded by family, friends and the those who have supported us, means the world,”added Price.

For Sant Ffraed House, welcoming one of Wales’ most celebrated athletes and LGBTQ+ influencers is another proud moment in its story as a venue chosen by high-profile couples who want a wedding that’s truly unforgettable.
