Newport County have confirmed the signing of Kyle Cameron following his exit from League Two champions Bromley.

The 29-year-old defender confirmed his Bromley exit after a mutual termination of his contract last week.

Cameron is Newport’s seventh signing of the season, as the club look to hire a new manager following the departure of Christian Fuchs.

The experienced defender joined the Ravens from Notts County in the summer of 2025 and helped them to promotion to League One as champions.

Cameron made 18 league appearances for Bromley and played the full 90 minutes in the 2-1 win against Newport on New Year’s Day.

He previously appeared for the Exiles back in 2016, when on loan from boyhood club Newcastle United.

County, who avoided relegation to the National League on the last day of 2025-26, have added Cameron to the signings of Harrison Biggins, Christian Doidge, Cameron Norman, Dan Sassi, Shaquille Gwengwe and Yahya Bamba.

As well as Fuchs, key figures Bobby Kamwa, Matt Baker and Michael Spellman have left Rodney Parade after turning down contract offers.
