Flanker Jac Morgan returns to the Wales starting XV as four uncapped forwards are named on the bench for Saturday’s contest with the Barbarians.

Ben Warren, Rhys Barratt, Ryan Woodman, and Harrison Keddie are all set for their first minutes in a Wales shirt off the bench.

Dewi Lake captains the side, having been chosen to lead the side over his good friend Morgan by Tandy.

Second row Teddy Williams makes his return to the red jersey for the first time this season following injury, while Dillon Lewis also returns to the Wales jersey for the first time in over two years.

Gareth Thomas completes the front row alongside Lewis and Lake, with Williams partnering Ben Carter in the second row.

Morgan wears the seven shirt, with Taine Plumtree getting the nod ahead of Cardiff duo Alex Mann and James Botham at blindside. Aaron Wainwright continues in the number eight position.

Kieran Hardy starts at nine in the absence of Tomos Williams, alongside first choice fly-half Dan Edwards. Joe Hawkins and Eddie James continue their successful centre partnership from the Six Nations.

In the absence of Louis Rees-Zammit, the now-former Scarlets trio of Tom Rogers, Blair Murray, and Ellis Mee make up the back three.

Joining the quartet of debutants on the bench are Ryan Elias, Reuben Morgan-Williams, Sam Costelow, and the fit-again Mason Grady.

“We’ve had a good block of training building towards this game and are excited to get our summer underway on Saturday,” Tandy said.

“I’m delighted for Rhys, Ben, Ryan and Harrison, who are all in-line to make their first senior appearance for Wales. The Barbarians will present a good challenge for us. They have lots of skilful players and I’m sure it’ll be a high pace game with lots of offloads.

“That in turn will be a great preparation for us as we head into the Nations Championship and playing Fiji the week after. The more games we play the more consistent we can be. We’re looking to pick up where we left off in the Six Nations and continue to build and improve as a group.”
