Wales internationals Alisha and Jasmine Joyce are set to leave club side Bristol Bears this summer, as part of 11 departures from the Professional Women’s Rugby club.

The married couple welcomed their son, Ralphie, into the world at the end of 2025, with Alisha Joyce playing in this recent Six Nations campaign less than five months after giving birth.

Since joining Bristol in 2020, the pair have helped the Bears to two top-four finishes and a PWR final.

They will be joined back in Wales by Jenna de Vera and Savannah Picton-Powell, who have been offered central contracts by the WRU.

Elsewhere, a number of Scottish players, including influential centre Emma Orr, are also leaving. This comes amid speculation that Welsh, Irish, and Scottish teams will potentially be entered into the English PWR in the near future.

Canadian pair Pamphinette Buisa and Chloe Daniels also leave after one season, with Stella Orrin completing the list of departures.

“This time of year is always difficult because we’re saying goodbye to players who have made a huge contribution to the club and the environment during their time at Bears,” Bears head coach Scott Lawson said.

“The changing landscape within the women’s game, particularly the renewed approach and investment from both the Welsh Rugby Union and Scottish Rugby Union, has meant a number of international players have understandably had to return home to take up central contracts.

“We completely respect those decisions and we’re proud that Bristol Bears Women has played a role in helping so many players develop and progress in their international careers.

“Every departing player has represented this club with professionalism, commitment and passion, and we’d like to thank them all for everything they’ve contributed on and off the field. They will always be part of the Bears family and we wish them all the very best for the future.”
