Join Thousands To Support The Only Welsh County In Vitality Blast

Short format, exciting cricket in the heart of Cardiff

Cricket are once again set to compete in the Vitality Twenty20 Blast against the best counties in England when the tournament begins this Summer.

T20 cricket is the high-octane, action-packed relation of your ‘traditional’ format of cricket.  It is full of big hits, wickets, and excitement from start to finish.  It’s cricket in the fast lane!

The Vitality Blast brings a buzz to the country circuit, with plenty of noise, colour, and dramatic action. The tournament will feature some of the best cricketers across the world, with teams allowed to select two overseas players into their squad.

It is also hoped England’s T20 World Cup winning squad will play a large part in the tournament bringing further quality to an exciting competition.

All 7 home matches will be staged at Sophia Gardens, situated in the beautiful Bute Park right in the centre of Cardiff.  They run from 2nd June-2nd July, with a mix of matches across Sundays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

The Welsh side will open their campaign against Kent Spitfires on Friday June 2nd in what will make for a perfect family day out at the end of the half term break or an after work social (hopefully!) in the sun.

They will also host Gloucestershire on Sunday 18th June, ideal for a sport loving dad as a Father’s Day gift.

Why not take advantage of the early bird ticket offer, which is running until May 3rd where adult tickets are priced at £10 per person, with U17s at £3 each – meaning a family of four can enjoy a day out for as little as £26!

With the added mix of great music, street food and high-octane cricket action, it’s hard not to get caught up in the electric atmosphere and get involved.

For a more premium experience, book into the Terrace for £30 in the early bird window. This price includes access to the exclusive terrace area, match ticket, a welcome drink and access to a private bar for the duration of the match, while Hospitality Packages start at £140 plus VAT pp.

Glamorgan head into the tournament as Wales’ hope for silverware and, although the Welsh county have never won the tournament, it is a format which has suited them over the years, reaching the finals day twice in 2004 and 2017.

David Lloyd and Sam Northeast’s record 150 run opening partnership against Middlesex last year was certainly one of the highlights of last season, and Glamorgan fans will be hoping to see more of that big hitting in this year’s competition.
