Harry Darling has announced that he will be leaving Swansea City, with the defender set to move to Championship rivals Norwich City.
Darling, 25, is reported to have turned down a contract at Swansea in favour of Norwich. The central defender is also believed to have attracted interest from Birmingham City, Wrexham, and Sheffield United.
Darling issued a statement on social media, external declaring that “with a heavy heart”, his time at Swansea was over.
“I have made friends for life on and off the pitch during my time at the club and have many memories to savour,” Darling said.
“For us as a family, Swansea will always be a very special place as it is the birthplace of our baby daughter Gigi.
“As I move on to the next chapter of my career I will always reflect warmly on my time as a Jack and I thank you for your support in good times and bad over these last few years.”
Darling made 122 appearances for the Swans since signing from MK Dons in 2022. He also scored 12 goals from defence.
“I would like to thank everyone associated with Swansea City; my teammates and all the staff and coaches I worked with for helping make this such an enjoyable time in my career,” Darling’s statement continued.
“I wish everyone at the club the best of luck for the future. Once a Jack, always a Jack.”
