Glamorgan Cricket have signed Australian overseas fast-bowler Nathan McAndrew ahead of the 2026 season.
McAndrew joins for the entirety of the T20 Blast campaign, and will also be available for two County Championship matches.
The 32-year-old arrives in Cardiff with extensive experience in Australian domestic cricket, having represented South Australia and Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash League.
Widely regarded for his ability to contribute with the ball, the right-arm fast bowler and capable lower-order batter adds further depth and balance to Glamorgan’s T20 squad.
McAndrew haunted Glamorgan last season for Sussex, taking 11 wickets against the Welsh county, including career-best figures of 6-21.
The fast bowler also brings valuable county cricket experience, having represented Warwickshire in 2022 before spending the following three seasons with Sussex.
McAndrew will also be available for two County Championship fixtures between the two T20 Blast blocks. The fast bowler has taken 256 wickets in 63 First-Class appearances, at an impressive average of 25.69.
Speaking on the signing, Director of Cricket Mark Wallace said: “Nathan has been one of the best performers in domestic cricket around the world over the last few years and we’re delighted that he’s able to join Glamorgan for a key period of the season.
“Having someone with his experience of County Cricket is very important and we’re looking forward to welcoming him to Wales.”
McAndrew added: “I’m really looking forward to this season with Glamorgan.
“It’s an exciting time for the Club coming back into Division 1 and playing some strong cricket in the Vitality Blast. Hopefully I can add value on and off the field and contribute to success in 2026.”
