Dragons bolster coaching ranks as MacLeod joins

Semco Northland Rugby Taniwha head coach Dale MacLeod will be joining the Dragons coaching staff as defence coach ahead of the 2025/26 season.
MacLeod is reunited with current Dragons head coach Filo Tiatia, who he previously worked with in Super Rugby.
The New Zealander will leave his current role as Semco Northland Rugby Taniwha head coach, and join up with the Dragons ahead of next season.
Head coach Tiatia said: “I’ve worked with Dale previously, most recently at Moana Pasifika, and I’m excited by the impact he will have on the Dragons.
“He’s a very knowledgeable coach, someone who has coached from grassroots right up to international level, and he has a huge appetite for the game.
“With every respect to Dale, he is that elder statesman figure and brings a huge amount of experience with him. I’m looking forward to seeing the relationship he builds with our staff and players.
“He brings a wealth of knowledge and will be good for the club, someone who will also be a good challenge for me, and is exactly what the group here needs.”
