Newport County have announced that defenders Cameron Evans and Ciaran Brennan have signed new contracts with the club.

Evans made 41 appearances last season, operating across full-back, centre-back and midfield roles and has been a mainstay for County since signing for the club in 2024.

The 25-year-old has developed into a trusted option since arriving at Newport County in July 2024 on a two-year contract, providing depth and reliability across the backline and in midfield when required.

Evans joined after gaining experience across different levels of the game, including spells with Waterford, Sligo Rovers and Taunton Town, having come through the Swansea City academy. That background has helped him settle into regular EFL football and contribute consistently.

Brennan made 29 appearances in all competitions last season, establishing himself as a dependable member of the squad.

Another versatile player, the 26-year-old appeared at centre half and full back, as well as the occasional cameo in midfield when required.

Having joined Newport County in the summer of 2024, Brennan has gone on to become a familiar figure at Rodney Parade and will continue his journey with the club into the 2026-27 season.

Neither player’s contract length are disclosed by the club.
