Cardiff Devils have announced that Canadian forward Ryan Barrow has re-signed for the club for the 2026/27 season.

Barrow had an impressive 2025-26 season, scoring a career high 19 goals and 20 assists for 39 points in 58 games between the league and Challenge Cup. He was injured late in the season and missed the final 2 weeks of the regular season and the playoffs.

Despite the injury, he picked up the Most Valuable Player this season at the year-end awards ceremony as well as the Coach’s Player of the Year.

The 2026-27 season will be his fourth as a Devil after signing for Cardiff in 2023 after spending his first year of pro hockey with the Manchester Storm.

Prior to turning pro, Barrow won a National Championship with the University of Denver in his final season of NCAA hockey.

“Ryan was my player of the year because he brings it every day, so to get Ryan back in Devils colours was a no-brainer,” Head Coach Paul Thompson said.

“He had a great year for us and was a catalyst for how we want to play every night.

“I want players who are a pain to play against, and Ryan is that and a lot more as his offensive game showed once given a chance to showcase his other skills.”
