Glamorgan Cricket have announced that club captain Kiran Carlson has signed a new two-year contract extension at the county.

A product of the Glamorgan pathway and a long-term leader at the club, Carlson has continued to play a central role across all formats.

Since taking on the captaincy, he has been instrumental in leading Glamorgan to two One‑Day Cup titles, becoming one of the Club’s most successful white‑ball captains in the modern era.

The 28‑year‑old has amassed more than a decade of experience in Glamorgan colours, becoming a key figure in the club’s batting lineup and a trusted leader within the dressing room.

“Extremely happy to have signed another contract with the club, as a Cardiff lad it’s a great honour to represent Glamorgan and Wales,” Kiran Carlson said.

“The club are in a really exciting period and as captain I can’t wait to see how far we can get to as a club in all formats. There isn’t another Club I’d want to play for more than here.”

“Kiran is central to our long‑term vision, both as a player and as a leader,” Director of Cricket Mark Wallace added.

“His commitment, professionalism, and passion for Glamorgan are evident every day, and securing his future is a significant moment for the club.

“We’re thrilled he will continue to play a major role in shaping the next phase of our journey.”
