Glamorgan batter Asa Tribe has received his second England Lions call up of the winter, having been called-up for the UAE white-ball tour.

Asa Tribe has been named in the England Lions squad for their five match One-Day series and three match T20 series against the Pakistan Shaheens.

The white-ball series, played against the second-tier of Pakistan international men’s cricket in the UAE, starts on Friday 20 February, with all matches held at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

Tribe earns a second England Lions call-up, having enjoyed a successful red-ball stint in Australia that concluded with a century against Australia A at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.

His form in the Betway SA20 with Paarl Royals further underlined his white-ball selection in Andrew Flintoff’s England Lions squad.

The England Lions programme provides a crucial bridge between domestic cricket and the full England setup, offering players the opportunity to test themselves against high-quality international opposition.

Tribe’s selection in consecutive Lions tours recognises his continued rise within the international ranks. With Ben Stokes and Moeen Ali on coaching staff for the tour, Tribe will be able to show his talent in front of the England captain.
