The New Year is always a popular time to set new fitness goals and the Celtic Manor Resort has provided even more incentive to hit the gym with an extensive refurbishment of its health clubs.More than £600,000 has been invested to bring the latest state-of-the-art Technogym equipment to three different health clubs – The Forum in the Resort Hotel, Dylans at Celtic Manor Golf Club, and Springs at Coldra Court Hotel.
The interactive new equipment offers a wide range of workouts, from cardio and strength training to virtual classes and personalised training programmes, offering real-time feedback to keep on top of your fitness journey.
The refit has won the approval of world champion boxer Joe Cordina who knows a thing or two about keeping himself in shape.
“I don’t think I’ve ever seen a health club gym that’s better kitted out than this one,” said Cordina, who bids to regain his IBF super featherweight world title in April.
“The new equipment is all very user friendly and it’s backed up by sports science so you can see exactly what you are doing and the progress you are making.
“I’m a professional boxer so working out is a way of life for me but regular exercise brings so much more than good health physically. Everyone can find their level and enjoy the well-being benefits of working out in the gym.”
The new equipment at Celtic Manor includes the Technogym Bio Strength range which is specifically designed to target multiple muscle groups at once, allowing users to get a full-body workout in a shorter time.
In addition, the connected Technogym Skill Bike, Skill Row and Skill Run machines provide a highly immersive and interactive experience, including virtual reality. The Technogym bike also offers access to over 500 live and on-demand classes taught by world-renowned trainers.
Steve Hamblin, Head of Leisure and Activities at Celtic Manor Resort, said: “Our members and hotel guests are already seeing the benefit of using the new equipment and we have had lots of positive feedback on what they are adding to the workout experience.
“The connection between physical and mental health is becoming more and more important and the new year is always a great time to reassess your wellbeing as well as your fitness. So this refurbishment across our health clubs could not have been better timed.
“We are seeing people who haven’t used the gym for a while coming back to our health clubs to check out the improvements and we are also seeing a lot of enquiries for new leisure memberships. Our qualified instructors are ready to help people get the most out of this fantastic new equipment and achieve their fitness goals in 2023.”
